Jukich Called Up to AAA

Duluth native Ben Jukich has been promoted to the Louisville Bats, the Cincinnati Reds' AAA affiliate, and is now one step away from becoming a major leaguer. He was 8-4 with a 3.57 ERA in 19 starts for the Chattanooga Lookouts (AA) and was the winning pitcher in the Southern League All-Star game on July 14 in Zebulon, N.C. Jukich graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School in 2001 and was selected in the 13th round by the Oakland A's in 2006. He was traded to Cincinnati in 2007.
