Seals Host So. Cal Seahorses TodayJune 16, 2007
The Southern California Seahorses are a top team every year. Their record this year (2-4-1) is not representative of their past, nor of their quality this year. Last season the Seahorses won our Division with 39 points, and were second place in 2005, again with 34 points. The have been consistent. Numerous times teams have struggled through the first half of the PDL season, and come on strong in the second half. This has been the case for the Seahorses. Like the Seals, all but one of their losses were by only 1 goal. The Seals first match against them this year was a tough match from start to finish. The Seahorses scored in the 9th minute, and it took the Seals another 64 minutes to tie. The Seals eventually won that match by a score of 2-1. Including today’s match, there are nine games left for both teams. The division is still very much open to whomever puts together the wins. We hope to see you today, and thank you for being a part of one of the greatest games on earth! Note: The Seals next home game is Saturday, July 14th against the LA Storm. The game will be a fundraiser for the Mount Diablo Soccer League, and will be played at Clayton Valley High School in Concord. Game time is 5:30pm.
