Next up - Double Header Weekend @ USFJune 8, 2008
Saturday - San Fernando Valley Quakes June 14th at USF Negoesco Starts at 2:00 pm This match is the first of two for next weekend (6/14 & 15). With seven games completed, the Quakes find themselves with nine points from a 2-2-3 record. Over their last three matches they are undefeated, with a 1-0-2 record. The lone win coming against a struggling Lancaster Rattlers in a 4-2 come-from-behind win at home. Currently, the Quakes are in 7th place behind four teams tied with eleven points. Last season the Quakes finished in second place with 32 points, and were eliminated in the first round of playoffs by BYU. The Match Sunday is the same day that the San Jose Earthquakes play at the Oakland Coliseum against the LA Galaxy. Many of us are making it a double header day, and anticipate that only the San Jose Quakes will come away as a winner! ------------------------------
Sunday - So. Cal. Seahorses June 15th at USF Negoesco Starts at 2:00 pm The Seahorses are struggling this season. After six complete matches they are in ninth place with only 4 points from a 1-4-1 record. they will visit the San Jose Frogs on Friday (6/13) before playing the Seals on Saturday. Their last three matches have been encouraging for them, as they have only one loss while putting together a 1-1-1 record. No one player has dominated their offense this season. Four different players have scored, and only one (Christian Rus) has two goals. Our goal is a win from both matches, which will put the Seals in a great position going into the following weekend when we travel south to meet the LA Legends and the Seahorses, our second double header weekend in a row. |
