The City of Livermore Proclaims Sunday May 21st as Troy Dayak Day

May 15, 2006
The Livermore Youth Soccer League and the San Francisco Seals are working together to make this coming Sunday's game a special day for everyone.  Troy Dayak, a former Seals player before his amazing comeback to the MLS with the San Jose Earthquakes is to be honored for his spirit and contribution on and off the field.

In recognition of this event, the City of Livermore has proclaimed Sunday May 21st as Troy Dayak Day for the entire city.

"We are very excited about this event, and today's recognition is even more exciting." said Paul Roma, who has been working with the schools and the Livermore Youth Soccer League (LYSL) to bring this game to Livermore.  "In addition to the event itself, the Seals are offering this game as a fundraiser for LYSL, as every ticket sold through the LYSL fundraiser ticket page on the Seals website, or every full price ticket purchased at the gate on game day using the Fundraiser Voucher from that webpage will result in a $3.00 donation from the Seals back to LYSL."  The easiest way for fans to purchase qualifying tickets is to visit the LYSL website which has a direct link to the fundraiser ticket page from thier home page at www.lysl.org.

Paul Roma is just one of the volunteers working with the Seals Marketing Team to help make their inaugural season a success.  Paul also produces the weekly post game podcasts, which are live post-game interviews with Tom Simpson, Seals GM and Head Coach, and with players.  These podcasts are available for your listening pleasure from our "Links" page on our website.

"Livermore Youth Soccer League president Corey Nelson has been very proactive and excited about having the Seals play here in Livermore and honor one of their own.  We are all looking forward to game day!" said Paul.
