Seals Can't Find the Treasure on the Island!May 18, 2006
Try as they might, the San Francisco Seals could not find that pot of gold by putting the ball in the net tonight on Treasure Island as the Gauchos (1-2) defeated the Seals (2-1) tonight with a second half goal.
The Seals had opportunities in front of the net - headers, shots one-on-one with the goalie, inside the 18, inside the 6 . . . but it just wasn't going to be their night as the ball went wide more often than not.
The wind was fairly strong and the night somewhat cool, but still about 75 people showed up to watch the game and root on the team.
Our next game will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm in Livermore at Livermore High School.
