🏀 Greetings Everyone! 🏀
Exciting news! 🎉 The registration dates for our Intramural Basketball program have been set, and it's happening from Monday, Oct 21st to Friday, Oct 25th! 🗓️ The registration will take place at Ss Cyril's gym between 7 pm and 9 pm. To make things smoother, we kindly request all registrants to pre-register their contact details online. 💻 However, please remember that payments should be made in person.
Our program is open to both boys and girls from grades 1 through 12, focusing on developing basketball skills, promoting fair play, and nurturing sportsmanship. 🏀 The registration fee is $75 for grades 1-6 and $90 for grades 7-12. And, here's a special perk – current travel players are eligible for a $10 discount on the registration fee. 💰
The league is scheduled to kick off during the first two weeks of January 2025 and will wrap up in April 2025. But, please note that once the games start, all practices will be temporarily halted due to limited gym availability. 🏟️
Participants can look forward to some fantastic perks, including a game T-shirt, a well-deserved trophy, and an epic end-of-year pizza party! 🍕🏆
Now, let's talk about teamwork! We greatly value our volunteer coaches, and we're actively searching for dedicated individuals to join us as coaches, assistant coaches, referees, and scorekeepers. 🙌

Get ready for an awesome basketball season! 🏀 We can't wait to work with your kids and make this a memorable experience.
Our intramural basketball program at Ss Cyril's church caters to grades 1-12 and boasts a participation of over 1,000 kids. We utilize the gym at Ss Cyril's church as well as facilities at local Deer Park Schools.
Participants are grouped according to their grades, with 1st & 2nd graders forming a coed group, while other grades are separated by gender. Each child will be placed on an individual team, with approximately 6 to 15 teams per age group.
The league's start date is scheduled for January, with an expected conclusion in April. Practice schedules, determined by team coaches, typically occur once a week, either on weeknights after 6pm or during weekends from 9am to 8pm. We offer flexibility for participants facing practice time conflicts.
Games are set to kick off in mid-February, averaging one game per week. For grades 1 - 4, 80% of their games will be scheduled on Saturdays between 9am and 2pm. High school boys will primarily play on Thursdays at Robert Frost MS in Deer Park, while other grades will have games scheduled randomly.
Please note that due to program size and limited gym space, teams practice once a week, and all practices are canceled once the game schedule starts in February.
To provide a uniform experience, we furnish all kids with a T-shirt as their uniform and ensure that each child receives a participation trophy. Referees officiate all games, except for 1st & 2nd grades, where we rely on volunteers.
We strive to accommodate requests, such as carpooling arrangements and specific game day preferences, particularly for grades 1-4. However, for grades 5 and above, we handle requests on a case-by-case basis, and some may not be approved.
Online registration is accessible at any time through www.LeagueLineup.com/StCyrilBasketball. Payments can be submitted in person only at Ss Cyril’s church from October 23rd to 27th, between 630pm and 9pm.
The program costs $75 for grades 1-6 and $90 for all grades above. Checks should be made out to Ss Cyril’s Church.
