Blaze 2018 AAU National  Champions & All-Americans!

Only two days into the 2018 AAU Junior Olympic competition and already Blaze had two AAU All-Americans! On Day 1, Saturday July 28th, Christopher “CJ” Ford, Jr. finished 5th in the 1500m racewalk!  This is CJ’s THIRD national medal!!  And on Day 2, Sunday July 29th, Joshua James kept the winning Blaze ways going with a 7th place finish in the Pentathlon.  After missing the medal stand in the Triathlon last year by only ONE POINT, Josh was on a mission this year – MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

We already knew that our own Blazin’ Blake Williams had one of the fastest times in the country, and he did not disappoint at the Junior Olympics!  On Day 5, Wednesday August 1st, Blake finished as the NUMBER 1 QUALIFIER in the 80m hurdle semi-finals.  On Day 6, Thursday August 2nd, Blazin' Blake won GOLD in the AAU 80m hurdle finals with the 3rd fastest time EVER for an 11 year old in that event.  Congratulations, Blake!!!!!!!

Jack joins our other outstanding 11 year old boys who were absolutely phenomenal this season – topping it off by bringing home 4 national medals – two of them GOLD!!
