Midweek Meeting Minutes

All Laurel Acres Dates and Times are Pending and being reviewed by Laurel Acres

All Midweek Play needs to be completed by Thursday, August 31 the SJMSBL has the right to shorten a best of 3 Series to one game. If NOT completed by August 31 the teams remaining will split the $350 Credit.

Voted and decided on by American Managers: Semi Pro players can play in the American division during the regular season but are NOT allowed to Pitch. Semi Pro Players are NOT allowed to play in the American Midweek Playoffs. It was also unanimously agreed that Rick Lambert and his son have a waiver to play in the American Playoffs. The SJMSBL allows Joe Bryson to play with the Chiefs during the playoffs. Granting him a waiver (he plays in the SEMI-PRO division.) Joe Bryson is NOT allowed pitch regular season or the playoffs

Voted and decided on by the Semipro and American Managers: Players need 5 Regular season games played to qualify for the Playoffs. Managers are required to show games played on our website @ www.Sout jerseyMSBL.com

              Your credit is good for the 2023 Fall Season, the 2024 Midweek Season, or the 2024 Spring Season.

              Your credit expires on May 1, 2024

              Your credit cannot be transferred to another team.

 

Standings will be determined by a Point System

3 Points for a Win

2 Points for a Tie

1 Point for a Loss

Please NOTE: A Forfeit loss gets ZERO Points. This calculation is NOT recognized by our League Lineup website. This calculation will be made by Lou/Neil after the Season Ends.

Please keep this in mind. The spirit of the SJMSBL is to play Baseball. If a Team jobs Standings and does not play the scheduled games because the Played game would have no bearing in standings; a Team Jobbing the League has the possibility of receiving severe Penalties. Please make every effort to play all of your scheduled games.

 

Tie Breakers

When two teams are tied

1. Head-to-Head record

2. Fewest Runs allowed in all games

3. Most Runs Scored in all games When three

Forfeit scoring

7 inning Game = 7-0

 

Fee Schedule:

2 umpires at each game

7 inning game $90.00 per umpire

 

If Only One Umpire Shows- Cost per umpire per (7) inning Game @ $135

 

1.           Cancelling with less than one hour until game time- $60 per umpire (If umpires did not leave for game yet, no fee will be charged)

2.           Umpires arrive at the field and no game due to weather: $60 per umpire

Rainouts/Cancellations:

In the event of a rainout or cancellation, it is the responsibility of the home field manager to notify John Gallante at 856-994- 4400 johngallante@hotmail.com and also let Lou know as well 856- 266-7916 lmarshall@unfi.com all cancellations need at least 1-hour notice. If a cancellation is made any time after that the fee schedule will apply of $60.00 per umpire if the umpires are there or on their way.
