Player and Parent Code of Conduct

Teel Ravens Player/ Parent Code of Conduct Agreement

The Teel Ravens organization is committed to providing a positive, safe environment for young players to learn and enjoy the game of baseball.   At the same time, we feel that playing baseball is a good opportunity to teach the boys sportsmanship, respect for others, how to win and lose gracefully, and how to take care of themselves.  We believe many valuable life lessons can be learned by being a part of a team.

All players registered to play on a Teel Ravens baseball team and their parents are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is above and beyond respectful of others and reflects positively on the Teel Ravens organization and the game of baseball.  This player/ parent code of conduct is not intended to be an allinclusive list of rules concerning player/ parent behavior.  By accepting a position on a Ravens team, both player and parent agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.

Sportsmanship: All players and parents must learn and display a sense of fair play. Be humble in victory, gracious in defeat. Players and parents must represent your team and the Ravens organization by showing good sportsmanship at all times, win or lose.

Respect, Integrity and Pursuit of Excellence: The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and 6 core principles:

  • Trustworthiness

  • Respect

  • Responsibility

  • Fairness

  • Caring

  • Good Citizenship

All players and parents must treat all others as you expect to be treated. Strive to perform each aspect of the game to the highest level of your ability and with the highest level of integrity and fair play. Support your team and teammates at all times. Respect all opponents’ players and parents at all times.

4. Always have a positive attitude win or lose.

5.  Players are responsible for their own gear, drinks, other supplies during games and practices.

By showing a positive attitude toward the game and all of its participants your son will benefit. Any parent that cannot refrain from such behavior will be asked to leave.

2. Respect your Sons Coaches, Teammates, Parents, Opponents, Spectators, and Umpires.
