8th Annual Jonny Baggett Memorial “Kick-Off” Classic
MEN’S AND WOMEN’S SOCCER TOURNAMENT
JANUARY 19-21, 2017
Sponsored by the BHS Upper Ninety Booster Club
WHERE: Games will be played at the Birdville Fine Arts and Athletics Complex (Field Turf) and Birdville High School (Grass) / 9100 Mid-Cities Blvd, Ft Worth, 76180.
GAMES: Each team will play 5 games (JV min. 2). Each game will consist of two 35-minute halves (JV will play two 30 minute halves) with a 5-minute half and 10 minutes between each game. All games excluding finals will be running clock (except with major injury). Be prompt…Game time lost to tardiness is forfeit time due to a tight schedule. We will try to play most JV matches on Friday and Saturday but some will be on Thursday.
HOME TEAM: The first team listed on the schedule will be home team and wear light jerseys. The home team is responsible for supplying 3 game balls.
FORMAT: Showcase for Varsity and JV.
POINT SYSTEM: Places will be determined with the following point system:
* 6 points for a win.
* 1 point for a tie.
* 1 points for a shutout
* 1 point for each goal up to three
TIE BREAKERS INCLUDE:
1. Head to Head
2. Goals allowed-total
3. Goals scored-total
4. Coin flip
TROPHIES: Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place only.
INCLIMATE WEATHER: Tournament Director shall decide issues of rescheduling games in case of severe weather.
PAYMENT: All checks should be made out to Birdville High School. (Remember it is $250.00 per Varsity team and $200.00 per JV team). Please send to the following address:
