The Warriors dominated from start to finish in a much anticipated rivalry game that hadn't been played in 9 years.  The Warrior offense proved to be too much for the Belpre defense to contain and the Warrior defense stepped up and nearly pitched a shutout, yielding a late TD with mostly backups on the field to the Belpre starting O. 

Quarterback Kurt Taylor was 13-17 with 229 yds and 3 TDs (1 rushing).  Brandon Simoniette hauled in 4 catches for 66 yards and a TD.  The Gandee brothers also had nice nights for the talented Warrior receiving corps.  Evan 3 catches for 43 yards and Brett with 3 for 66.  Joel Chevalier added a 33 yard TD in the 3Q.  Brayden Gerber finished with 72 yards on 14 carries scoring twice.  

The defense was lead by JT Rice''s 10 tackles, Dennis Pettey''s 7 tackles and Josh Welch 6 tackles.  The Warrior secondary held the Eagles to 1 yard on 7 attempts.   

It was a great night for the Warriors as they spoiled their 3rd homecoming of the year.  Warren is now 5-3 and secured their first winning season since 2009.

Several Warriors are making a run at single season records after 7 games of the season.  Junior quarterback Kurt Taylor has thrown for 1,955 yards moving him to second on the all-time single season passing yards list, he passed Dylan Leffingwell with his 292 yard outing vs Williamstown last week.  Kurt needs 389 yards over his last three games to pass his father Shawn Taylor's record of 2,343 yards during the 1996 season.  

Junior Evan Gandee and Senior Brandon Simoniette are both making a run at receiving records, the pass catching duo has been extremely impressive through 7 games.  They are currently tied with 48 catches apiece putting them in a tie for 4th place on the all time single season receptions list.  The duo trails only Brandon Church ('96 with 49 catches, current Warren WR Coach Andrew Vincent ('12 with 53 catches), and all time leader Jeremy Fivecoat ('11 with 58 catches).  The record is well within reach with 3 games left.  

Not only are they making a run at the single season reception mark, but both also have chance to go over 1,000 yards receiving which has never been done in the history of Warren football.  Evan currently has 777 yards receiving putting him at 4th all time, just ahead of Coach Vincent's mark of 765 in 2012.  Brandon has 726 yards which puts him in 6th all time just behind Coach Vincent.  The all time mark of 880 yards was set by Brandon Church in 1996.  

Defensively Evan Gandee has 4 interceptions which puts him in a tie for 7th all time single season.  The record of 9 was set by Dave Pannell in 1974.

Kicker Joel Chevalier's 43 yard Field Goal against Cambridge is good enough to put him in a tie for 2nd place for longest field goal made in a game.  The record is 47 yards set by Chas Miller in 2012.

Sophomore QB Kurt Taylor is now sitting at 995 yards passing this season.  He is 11th right behind his uncle Jason Taylor at 10th with 1,003 yards passing set in 1998.  He should pass Uncle Jason this friday at John Marshall in the last game for the season.

Sophomore QB Kurt Taylor had joined his father Coach Shawn Taylor on the Career passing list.  The Junior Taylor has 995 yards, completing 48% of his passes he sits currently at 11th with one game to go for the season.  The elder Taylor is # 1 and # 4 on the career passing yards list.
