HARRISON GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE HEADS INTO ITS 53rd SEASON

Harrison Girls Softball League (HGSL) is an all volunteer 501C(3) designated not for profit organization. The 2025 season will serve as our 53rd year of proudly serving the girls of Harrison and its surrounding communities. HGSL is recognized for its long standing reputation of integrity and service to the youth in our community. HGSL has always been and continues to be committed to providing the best environment possible for young female athletes to thrive and develop as players and people of good character. Our organization is only as strong as the people it is comprised of. Our membership consists of an all volunteer staff of elected Officers, Trustees, Committee members and appointed team Managers. Any player who turns 5 before September 1st, 2025 or who was 18 (born 2006) or younger before January 1st, 2025 is eligible to sign up for the 2025 season.

HJS CLUB WILDCAT TEAM ENTERS 11th SEASON

The HJS Club Wildcat program was created and developed in the fall of 2014 by HGS President Sonny Ross in coordination with various coaches and administrative officials.  Our mission is to develop HJS 7th and 8th grade players who aspire to make a Harrison High School team in the future.  As a pipeline to the HS program Club Wildcat allows for all of the HS coaches to see what players are coming up and to give guidance as to what their needs are in the future.  We hope that Club Wildcat will continue to serve as a bridge to strengthen our already strong HS program through its development of players. In its debut season our Club Wildcat team went on a terror by run ruling its opponents and SWOC conference foes in its final 10 consecutive games and each subsequent season so far has been a great success towards acheiving our goals. Please stop out and watch these ladies play this spring!

Tryouts for the Club Wildcat team were held in October and we have announced that we will be having two teams for the 2025 season, HJS Club Wildcat (BLACK) and HJS Club Wildcat (GREEN). Dan Bemerer will return as Head Coach of HJSCW BLACK this season after taking a season off to recoup from knee surgery. The HJSCW GREEN Head Coach has not been named yet but that process is ongoing and multiple assistant coach candidates have already been contacted and have agreed to help in any way if needed, will advise in the coming weeks. HJSCW tryouts are held each fall for the following season and will be announced at HJS and on this site and on other social media platforms such as our FB page. We look forward to another great season! We will post the 2025 season schedule once it becomes available!
