MAJORS will be held July 12-14 at Northside Columbus, GA

The 2013 Junior Dixie Boys World Series (age 13) will be held in Columbus, Georgia. The West Georgia
Dixie League submitted a bid that was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors of Dixie Boys
Baseball. The local league has the full support of the Columbus Sports Council. Visit the following link at:

Dixie Boys Baseball www.dixie.org/boys was founded in 1957 in Alexandria, Louisiana. The organization
has a rich tradition of providing recreational opportunities through baseball for youth age 13-19. Mr. J. Sandy
Jones, Commissioner/CEO stated: The West Georgia Dixie league is a relative newcomer to Dixie
Boys/Majors Baseball, yet they have already had a very positive impact. We are very aware of the strong
youth baseball tradition in Columbus and we look forward to a long lasting relationship with the West
Georgia League. Hosting a Junior Dixie Boys World Series is a large undertaking and we are convinced
based on local community support that this event will be a wonderful experience for everyone. Dixie Boys

The South Commons Complex and Stadium truly brings the value of sports entertainment and recreation
home for the people. The facilities at South Commons are perfectly designed for Junior World Series play
with fence distances of 285 feet. The seven fields and stadium field have hosted many local, state, regional,
national and even international competitions. The venue located at the stadium will provide a unique
experience for the tournament participants and spectators.
