Tournament Kickoff Party: July 8th 6pm At Ancient City Brewing  (3420 Agricultural Center Dr. St. Augustine 32092) 

 

Captain's Meeting: August 5th 6pm At Ancient City Brewing   

 

Tournament Spearfishing Days: August 6th-8th; Must Leave/Return From FL Waters

 

Weigh-Ins & Award CeremonyAugust 9th 10am At Ancient City Brewing 

Must be in line for weigh-in by 12:00 PM! 

Rain Dates: Sept 2nd-6th 

NFSO Tournament Committee Will Make The Weather Call July 31st 7pm Posted On Club Facebook Page & Website. No refunds will be issued if we push the tournament back to rain date(s). 

 

*Point Structure

  

One fish will be weighted for each category with point or partial point awarded for each pound.     Ex. 10.2lb snapper = 10.2 points

 

 Top Dog, Top Mermaid & Top Freediver will be determined by overall aggregate score. 

Top Team & Calcutta will be capped at 2 divers per team

ONE FISH per shooter, per category will be weighted; overall aggregate score will then be divided by two.

Ex: Shooter 1's Overall Score 110 + Shooter 2's Overall Score 120 =230/2 Divers=115 Points

Prizes: The Prize Table will be picked in order of overall aggregate score.

Ex. Shooter with highest aggregate score picks first from prize table, second highest score picks second and so on. 

AJ & Wahoo/Mahi/Rainbow/Trigger Category will be capped at 20lbs.

Ex. 25lb AJ = 20 Points; Wahoo 60lb = 20 Points 

 Lionfish & Lobster Will Be Measured (Inches) Not Weighted & Will Be Added To Overall Aggregate Score 

 

Rules & Regulation

 

1. Safety First: This is a recreational event, DO NOT push your training limits or violate safe practice.

 

2. Tournament Kick Off Party: July 8th 6pm At ACB; This is an open event hosted by NFDC to welcome all participants and the community as a whole to some fun & festivities prior to the competition. The party will also an opportunity for participants to complete tournament registration if they have not previously done so.

 

3. Registration: $90.00; Divers may complete entry form/waiver & pay fees in person at any NFDC meeting/event, online at NorthFLShootOut.com, PayPal or Venmo. 

 

4. Captain's Meeting: August 5th 6pm At ACB; At least One (1) Representative Diver from each boat must be present at the captain's meeting to check in Divers. 

A mobile “check-in” will be available for those that diving/spearing on the Panhandle or South FL, please contact tournament committee to set up mobile check-in.

 

This allows the Representative Diver for his/her team to acquire/verify tournament paperwork, acquire mystery tickets, shooter bag(s), witness the official tournament time & be privy to any last minute rule changes.

 

This will be final chance to register in person, if turning in registration for a diver on your team/boat please be sure waiver is complete!

 

5. Official Entry & Eligibility: No Diver is officially entered in the tournament until the NFDC has received a properly filled out entry form/waiver & all fees have been paid.

 

All participants must possess a valid Florida Saltwater Fishing License.

 

6. Tournament Spearfishing Days: Shooting days are Thursday August 6th through Saturday August 8th with the tournament officially beginning sunrise August 6, 2020 and concluding sunset August 8,2020. In the case of rough seas there will be a "Rain Date". 

 

Shooters are not required to hunt all 3 days.

 

All shooter must be leave/return Florida Waters.

 

Powerheads are prohibited!

 

7. Scoring/Points: Shooters must choose which fish to weigh-in prior to arriving at the weigh-in stage.

 

Tournament officials WILL NOT weigh fish individually, to determine fir the participant, which fish is largest.

 

Fish must be properly gutted before weigh-in (Please Use Fish Cleaning Area Provided).

 

No more than One (1) fish from each category may be weighted.

 

Each Participant will receive One (1) point per pound.

 

Tied scores will be broken by dividing the participant's total fish weight by number of fish weighted. 

 

Top Team Calcutta: $200/Boat 

 

Top Team & Calcutta will be capped at 2 divers per team.

One Fish per category per shooter will be weighted.

Overall aggregate score will then be divided by 2, highest average score wins.

Be Sure To list boat/team name for Calcutta when you register!

 

All fish must be in compliance with FWC regulations!

 

8. Weigh-Ins: August 9th 10am-12pm Ancient City Brewing

Participants must be present & weigh-in their own fish. 

 Fish Must Be Gutted & Iced

Lionfish, Flounder, Trigger & Lobster Do Not Need To Be Gutted 

 

All participants must be in line for weigh-ins no later than 12:00pm NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

9. Awards/Prizes:

 

Trophies awarded to top shooter in each category

 

Prize table picked in order of overall aggregate score

 

Awards: The 1st Place Shooter (participant with the highest aggregate score) will be awarded the 1st Place Trophy for each fish category.

 

Trophies will also be awarded for Best Team, Top Dog, Top Mermaid & Top Freediver.

 

Prizes: The Prize Table will be picked in order of overall aggregate score.

 

Ex. Shooter with highest aggregate score picks first from prize table, second highest score picks second and so on.

 

10. Rule Changes: NFDC reserves the right to make any last minute rule changes at the Captain's Meeting. This is why at lease one Representative Diver is required to attend the mandatory Captain's Meeting.
