2024-2025 CURLING SEASON 

Curling is a vibrant & growing sport at Candle Lake.   As a resort community, alot of people choose to move here after retirement & many take up curling for recreation.

Come out to enjoy a game, plus get some exercise.   The club provides a great opportunity to meet other Candle Lake residents.  There's always a good time having a beer or glass of wine after a game.

We offer free curling lessons each fall which are geared for people who have never curled.   Many of our curlers have limited abilities and use sticks to deliver rocks. 

For people who are going to be away for some of the winter, there are many opportunities to curl part of the winter or just when you're here.   Give us a call & we'll try to fit you in.

Tuesday and Thurs at 1:00, plus Friday at 2:00

The club will be offering free curling lessons on Oct 28 & 29th at 1pm.

Just show up, no registration nessessary.

Curlers are invited to attend an open house on on Oct 27 & 28th (7pm)

Come out & throw a few rocks, get those kinks out, try some new equipment, maybe even have a drink or 2.

Doubles Curling

Doubles Curling is held once a month.   (Non-members are invited to attend)

• Nov. 14th  - 7PM
• It's a fun night of curling, drinks & pot luck appetizers !!

Free for members, non-members pay $5.

OUR LOW CURLING FEES

Due to many people going south for part of the winter, our curling is divided into 2 seasons - Nov & Dec and then Jan to Mar

2024-25 Curling fees are: 

Nov / Dec     $99.90        Jan / Feb / Mar   $144.30  ( taxes included)            

(Due to the high cost to start the ice plant, curling fees are not refundable)

Non- member subs pay $10 /game     

Low fees are only made possible through the huge amount of volunteer work by our curlers.

RULES FOR DOUBLES CURLING

THE STICK

The evening went off with a great success with 142 attendees.  Games of chance such as Blackjack and Crowns and Anchor as well as Spades and Diamonds and Heads and Tails were well supported by the group of Ladies which created fun  for all.  The event was a great financial success for our curling club.
