The AAU/YBOA program for the older kids is to introduce the kids to National Basketball tournaments, top clinics, camps, college coaches, recruitment process and College preperation. To help kids gain sports scholarships, academic scholarships and to give them exposure to college coaches.
The CT Knights Mentoring and Tutoring program was established in 2008 with the idea to assist our youth in basic academics, english, math, reading, writing and language arts. We feel sports is very important in our kids growth, but it is very important to have a good understanding of the fundamentals in academics as well. Teaching our youth the importance of a good solid education is a great balance in their lives. With basketball as our tool we assist with homework club, reading assistance, Math and english understanding, problem solving and task managment. The Mentoring program takes on the kids where they are in thier lives, and through sports, leadership and self worth the mentoring program assists kids to have better self esteem, pride, continued growth and confidence in there work, there abilities and self worth.
