"Hilltoppers Academy School Philosophy & Code of Ethics"

Hilltoppers Academy School prepares scholars/in sports with a foundation in being a bridge in kindergarten through grade six and 7th grade through 12th and to excel in college preparatory secondary schools and beyond. Hilltoppers Academy provides a structured, rigorous education emphasizing literacy and mathematics that lays the foundation for academic success for sports.


Hilltoppers Academy is a member of the USSSA (ESB), a select group of schools that have demonstrated strong academic results, sound organizational practices, and the genuine ability to close the achievement gap in their communities. Because of our outstanding sports with academic and organizational performance investment, we support from Building Excellent School of sports. Hilltoppers Academy School is a sports-driven, with an academic base which is one way, not the only way, for a foundation for a well-balanced life.
 
 
  • After learning from the best schools for over many years, the Hilltoppers Academy team put together a comprehensive educational program heavily focused on literacy, math, and character development. It is our goal to provide every child with a strong, foundational education that places them firmly on the path to college/Sports.
    We offer our students and families:
    • A culture of high expectations and no excuses. We believe every child can go to college so we maintain the highest standards for academic performance and behavior.
    • Standards-based, high-quality classroom instruction. Our coaches/teachers use the Common Core Standards to drive their instruction and receive frequent support and feedback to improve their teaching /coaching practice.
    • Strong emphasis on assessment and accountability. Students are frequently assessed, both formally and informally so that teachers/coaches can identify and target skill gaps quickly and see what is best for the team.
    • More time to learn. Our Academy, providing more time for our students/athlete to master grade-level benchmarks.
    • School values. Through our PRIDE values (Personal responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence), our students/athlete will develop the strong character they need to be successful in school, sports and in life, and overcome any obstacles they will face.
    • Access to Technology.  Hilltoppers Academy scholars have access to Hilltoppers Academy classrooms after school to study and use these tools to further their learning.
    • A partnership with parents. Parents are an integral part of our students’ success. We welcome parent volunteers and parent participation in our Hilltoppers Academy  Parents’ Association.
    • All of our staff & teachers go through the training process of the Hilltoppers Academy School of code of conduct and philosophy of the Hilltoppers Academy School.
    • (no student fails, they can quit the Hilltoppers Academy School, but we will never quit them.)  
  • We believe that all children can achieve at high levels when we set high expectations and provide rigorous instruction in the core subjects.
  • We believe that all children deserve a small, safe learning environment and be able to develop in sports in which they can achieve their full potential as scholars and citizens.

    We are a program provider, recreation and Neighborhood Services and we deliver an upscale education program and operate to the needs of kids K-8 over the regular school year and the summer as well to give our community parents outreach for their kids and programs that touch the lives of individuals and families in our community.
    We have updated our 20 plus- past years to a strategic plan that meets the needs of kids today. The plan will guide us to the delivery of a sustainable school and sports, all recreation system while strengthening our focus on services and the design of young minds while using a public facility until we move into our privet use. With community-inspired guiding principles that we have created by engaging with San José residents over the past years and using these guiding principles, With us developing this plan we can provide a pathway to enhancing the quality of life in San José for families in need of these services.
