In Spring 2022, with the support of FVL and Xavier's varsity wrestling coaches and athletic directors, the Fox Valley Saints Wrestling program was formed.   With the guidance of head coach and former collegiate wrestlers Austin Stebane (Head coach/Director) and Brandon Cline (Youth Coach/Assistant director), Saints Wrestling will be run as a cooperative similar to the FVS Football program.  Students may be from any Christian school in the Fox Valley area and/or be considering Xavier or FVL high school.  There will be two divisions - the youth program (grades K-4) and the Middle School program (grades 5-8) with practices run separately at Xavier Middle School, no prior experience is necessary, new wrestlers are encouraged to try it out!   Our coaches look forward to fostering a love for wrestling by making wrestling fun while working on fundamentals and have the experience to teach more advanced techniques as our wrestlers advance in their skills.    We encourage multiple sport athletes, so even if your son or daughter is a basketball player or planning on another sport, please contact us at foxvalleysaintswrestling@gmail.com to see how we can make wrestling work for your student-athlete! 

Season Dates: 

Sunday December 4th: Saints Free Preview Night - Xavier High School 4:00pm

Registration closes end of December

First Practice: Weds January 4th - 5-8th grade Middle school team only (all practice activities are currently planned to be held at Xavier Middle School)

   Times:

   Middle School team (5-8th) strength and conditioning: after school Mon-Thurs until 4:15 (non XMS middle school wrestlers can come and join whenever they can get there)

   Middle School team (5-8th) practice: Mon-Thurs 4:15-5:30

   Youth team (K-4th): Mondays 5:30-6:30 (starting Mon Jan 9th)

First Competitions: Appleton 6-8th grade league starts Tuesdays or Thursdays in late January, times and dates TBD

   (Youth and 5th grade competitions will be determined on an individual basis as there is no local league for K-5th, we are planning on a 3-4 team multi dual for K-5 in March)

Season ends: Mid March
