WHIZ KIDS 2019 CHAMPIONS

The Whiz Kids won the championship game over the Elizabeth Town team 9 - 7. Game was well played on both sides. Jeff Vanduesen and Mark Lahn combined to pitch the win.  Leroy pitched pitched well challenging the batters with his  "high twister". 

Double plays, great catches in the outfield were featured throughout the contest. Whiz Kid batters were led by Glen Eberle's 5/5 performance, followed by multihit games by Brad Wile, Tom Brinkman, Larry Cirraco and Tom Figart. E Town's Frank Stellar had a base clearing double to put his team ahead early in the game.

Summary: In the 1st 3 innings Whiz Kids were up 3 -0. E Town came back to tie it up 3 - 3 and then go ahead 6 - 3.  Whiz Kids then tied it up 6 - 6 and then went ahead 7 -6 in bottom of the 6th.  Top of the 7th the Whiz Kids scored 2 more and E Town went  3 and out in their half of the 7th.

This game kept the interest of a least 25 fans in the stands.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WHIZ KIDS THE 2019 CHAMPIONS OF THE LANCASTER SENIOR SLOW PITCH LEAGUE!!!
