Register NOW for The Sandlot’s Summer Baseball and Softball Camps on of the following dates in Middletown, NJ featuring The Sandlot’s Instructors below, along with current and former collegiate players. This comprehensive baseball camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game.

 Baseball Instructors:
Mike Eckert –  Asst. Head Coach @ Holmdel HS, Head Coach, Asst Coach @ Mater Dei Prep from 2007-22, 2022 B-Central Coach of Year, 2014 Asst. Coach of The Year by SCBA,  As a player 3rd team All-State, 2 time All-County Catcher, 4yr player @ NC Wesleyan University, MVP in 87’ of 3rd place CWS, Capt. In 87’ and 88’. Played for retired UNC and collegiate Hall of Fame coach Mike Fox

 Andrew LaMura- Head Coach Freehold Boro HS...2 time All-Shore Conference selection, 2 time All-State @ RBC. All Conf and All-Region at Felician College. Honorable mention All-American NCAA Dll. Also was Student Athlete of the year 2017. Coach Andrew spent the past 3 years as an Asst. Varsity Coach at RFH. 

Tyler LaVine- Current Asst Head Coach @ Freehold Twp...Asst Coach @ Mater Dei, Coaches several summer travel teams.. Played catcher @ Mater Dei , 2 year starter, Tyler has been with the Sandlot since 2014 and we are glad to have him back

Softball Instructor:

Ryan Rasmussen – She is going into her 4th year as assistant coach at Middletown North. Ryan was a 4-year starter at catcher for North from 2013-17. She was part of 2 shore conference championships and 3 divison titles. Named 2016 defensive player of the year. Also played travel ball with the Flames.

 The camp is for students ages 5 1/2 to 13(entering HS). Students will be divided up by age and skill level. All students will receive a camp T-shirt. Sign up NOW to insure your spot.  Kevin Olausen   - Kev "Big Daddy" returns for his 11th year at The Sandlot. Kev is currently coaching football at Ocean County CC. Kev  played first base and pitched while at Mater Dei. Kev played football at Salve Regina University.. Kev brings great excitement and love of the game to the camp.

Joe Cappola-     Coach Joe is a softball Assitstant at Matawan HS, Joe played ball at Middletown North as a pitcher and outfielder. Joe brings many years of experience to the Sandlot.  Joe loves the game and teaching the kids about the game. Joe has been working with Sandlot since 2008..
