The PA Premier Women's Fastpitch Softball League will hold its 2024 planning meeting on March 10th at 6:00 PM in the Lyons Fire Company, located adjacent to the Lyons Softball Field Complex. If anyone is interested in joining the league, either as an individual or as a team, please come out to the meeting.  You may also contact Karen Bauer at bauer08@gmail.com to be added to the league contact list.  More information about the meeting will be coming out as we get closer to March 10th. 

Congratulations to the Mountain Hawks, who won their first PPWFSL championship by defeating the second seed Tigers, 2-0 in the semi finals, then winning the championship game in a one run contest, 3-2 over the fifth seeded Warriors. The Warriors earned a trip to the title game by defeating the defending champs, Spirit, by a score of 7-3. 

The ending of the 2023 season came after a rocky start in June, when Canadian wildfire smoke and long periods of rain postpone numerous games. Thanks to a change in weather and the teams being determined to make up their games, the season ended with all eight teams playing a full 14 game schedule. 

Special thanks go out to Naaman Schlegel, who kept the Lyons Field in such excellent playing condition, Jim Meals, who served as the league treasurer, paying umpires and supplying game balls for the playoffs, and Toni Bean, who did all of the regular season and playoff scheduling. 

Looking toward 2024, we invite new teams or individual players to contact us if you would like to become a member of this tremendous women's fast pitch league. The Pennsylvania Premier Women's Fastpitch Softball League provides a unique opportunity for those women who want to continue playing fast pitch softball.
