We're getting closer to game time!

September 19, 2016

Teams have been drafted and you should be hearing from your coach in the next few days. Practices will begin soon after that. We are shooting to start our season October 1 but it may be the 8th depending on when uniforms come in. We like to start on Zonta weekend so kids can go to the fields, play and then head downtown for a fun afternoon.

WE NEED YOU HELP! This Saturday we need to have a work day where we get nest on goals and fields ready to play. If you can help please come out to the fields off of Orchard Road at 8:00 and help us get ready for the season. Barry Jackson will be there and directing the show.

I always want to point out that SRSC is a volunteer organization from the Board to the coaches to the parents and so forth. If we want great fields we need to all chip in and help get them ready. Let us know if you can help for an hour or 2 next Saturday. Thanks so much!

U14 Girls are District Champions

April 18, 2016

The Mississippi Soccer Assoc. held the Southern District Tournament this weekend in Gautier.  SRSC had teams competing in the U10 Girls and Boys divisions, as well as U14 Boys and Girls.

In the end, our U14 Girls (Coach Mark Herrington) won the district championship, defeating their opponents by a combined score of 14-0.  They will move on to state as the number 1 seed from the Southern District.

Our U14 Boys (Coaches Wiggins/Mitchell) ended up with a record of 2-1, losing in the semi-finals to the defending state champions, Stone County, by the score of 3-2.  They had a combined score of 17-4 over three games.   We are hopeful they will be a wildcard at state given their outstanding regular season record.
