Tri-Club Bay River Classic Team Registration
Mandatory registration for all Tri-Club Bay River Classic teams will take place Friday August 29th from 5:30pm -8:30 pm at the Country Inn & Suites Newport News South 1069 J. Clyde Morris Blvd Newport News, Virginia 23602. At registration each team will provide the following:
2 copies of current State Approved Roster, Individual Medical Release forms (notarized copies are not required), current US Youth Soccer Player Passes with picture permanently attached for all rostered and guest players, and Permission to travel form, if required. Rosters and player passes for the 2014-2015 seasonal year will be used for this tournament.
For the U9 Developmental division please provide 2 copies of current Roster (to include name, DOB, address, jersey # at the minimum), Individual Medical Release forms (notarized copies are not required), and player cards.
Tri-Club Bay River Classic T-Shirt Sales
Team T-shirt pre-orders were solicited from all team POC's. Limited sizes and quantities will be available at the York County Sports Complex Head Quarter tent. Payments accepted will be cash and checks made payable to "Baystars FC. Prices are $15 for sizes YS thru XL, $16 for XXL, and $17 for XXXL.
Tri-Club Bay River Classic Concessions
Bathrooms and concessions will be open at both York County Sports Complex locations with the following foods served: Concessions will have burgers, Hotdogs, pizza, nachos, chips, assorted candy, soda and water
Bathrooms and gates will be open at Wolftrap fields at 7:00am.
Tri-Club Bay River Classic U9 Rule Variances
The U9 fields will be approximately 105’ by 120’ and will be played across the U10 and U11 fields. Coaches and team managers will need to appoint several parents to move goals from end lines and reposition them for the U9 games. Upon completion of U9 games goals will need to be repositioned for the U10/U11 games.
Note: If goals are not anchored with the YCSC provided sandbags referees will not begin matches.
U-12 and younger Size 4
DURATION OF MATCHES AND FORMAT
ALL MATCHES WILL START ON TIME. The duration of halves is listed below. The interval between halves shall be five (5) minutes. The referee is the official timekeeper of the match and reserves the right to shorten the interval between halves if necessary. During the preliminary matches there will be no injury time allowed.
1 U-9 (4) 12 min. quarters 2 minutes between quarters and a 5 min. half time
2 U9 will play small-sided games 7 v 7 unless agreed upon by both coaches prior to match starting
Either team will have unlimited substitutions subject to the following conditions and upon approval of the referee:
1 Prior to a throw in by the team in possession
2 Prior to a goal kick by either team
3 Anytime approval is granted by the referee. (As in the case of injury, for injured player only.) Note: When this occurs, opponent may substitute a like number.
4 For a player who has been cautioned. Note: When this occurs, opponent may substitute a like number.
Division standings will not be kept as all teams are Champions.
All referees will be USSF certified. A one-man system will be used for all U-9 through U-11. Referees will be calling offsides for U9 matches when they are blatant in nature as these are developmental age players just starting out. Coaches are encouraged to coach and or teach players the true meaning of offsides.
