4th ANNUAL SMACKIN' IT FOR MAC JDRF NIGHT 

The Wakeland High School baseball team held it's annual JDRF Smackin' It for Mac night on April 7th.  The team, parents, and community raised over $5000 this year! You can still make a cash donation here.

Coach Barry Rose’s 12-year-old son Mac was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes about four and a half years ago. 

Roughly 40,000 people are diagnosed with T1D each year in the US. JDRF has invested $2 billion in T1D research projects worldwide over the past 45 years.

April 18th- Landon Staats was selected as 5A Baseball Pitcher of the Week. 

On April 12th, Landon threw a complete game, no-hit shutout vs Little Elm with 8 strikeouts.

JT Thompson has been selected as the 5A Baseball Hitter of the Week.
