The Baseball team will have weight lifting and conditioning every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in November and December from 2:45-4:15.
All players should meet in Room 141B to get ready. If there is no school for a PD Day, Records Day, or Snow Day weight lifting will be canceled.
November Dates:
4th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 20th, 22nd.
December Dates:
2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 18th.
The 2025 Whetstone Varsity team will be making a trip to Cleveland during Spring Break. The team will leave on Thursday April 24th and come back on Saturday April 26th. We will be staying two nights, three days. The team will play Three Games during the trip.
Thursday April 24th- At Brooklyn High School at 4:30.
Friday April 25th- VS Cleveland Rhodes at Talty Field at the Jim Thome All Star Complex At 7:30PM.
Saturday April 26th- VS Cleveland John Hay at "League Park" at 12:00.
Returning players keep your Two Dri-Fit Jerseys, we will try and get another out of them. Also keep your wristbands in a safe place until March!

Field Upgrades- Chalk, Mound Clay, Rakes, Weed and Feed, Grass Seed, Chalker, Riding Lawn Mower and Mat Drags.
Baseball Equipment-Batting Tee's, Heavy Balls, New L-Screen, Batting cage Ball Basket, Cleat Cleaners, and Weighted Bat.
Dri-Fit Baseball Jersey's-Two for each Player in the Program.
Spring Break Trip- The more we make, the lower the cost will be for each player who goes on the Spring Break trip.

The Whetstone HAWK
2025 Key Dates:
August 16th- Fall Sports Kickoff. 1:00-6:00 at Whetstone High School. This will be a great time for 9th graders to visit the school and talk to all the athletic sports teams. We will need help from 10th, 11th, and 12th grade baseball players runnimg the Batting machine and pitch radar at the field.
September 3rd- Fall Open Field Workouts start 2:45-4:15. As we get closer, a monthly schedule will be handed out.
October 19th- Fall Garage Sale Fundraiser. At Whetstone in the big parking lot 8:00-4:00. More details to follow. All Whetstone Baseball players will be donating items for the garage sale. Clean out a closet, basement, or garage. This has been a great fundraiser for us the past ten years.
November through February 21st-Weight Room Workouts 2:45-4:15. Times and Days TBA once we get closer and get more info from the strength coach.
January 6th- Baseball Conditioning will begin after school. 2:45-4:15.
February 13th- Spring Athletics Parent Meeting at 6:30, this mandatory for baseball players and at least one parent.
February 24th- First day of Baseball Practice. Mandatory if you aren't playing a winter sport.
March 17th-26th- Scrimmages begin.
Saturday March 29th- The 2025 Baseball season starts. The Reserve team will play, the Varsity is off.
Monday March 31st- The Varsity team open the 2025 season.
April 24-26- Varsity Spring Break trip to Cleveland Ohio.
May 28th- Baseball Banquet 6:00-8:00. The banquet will be at the baseball field, if we get rain it will be in the school cafeteria.
