Welcome back to youth baseball! Yellow Springs Youth Baseball is a recreational co-ed league for all children ages 7-14. Assuming sufficient player registrations and coach volunteers, we will continue with our three program structure. Default assignment will be made based on age regardless of skill level (exceptions can be considered with unanimous consent of parents, coaches, and the league). Practices begin in early May with games running from June 1 through July 20.

  • The Minor League is a coach-pitch open fundamentals league where the kids can learn basic skills at a beginner level for ages 7-9.

  • The Intermediate League is kid-pitch, but from a shorter distance than the Majors for ages 10-11. In order to allow for development of first time pitchers and catchers, this level has more of a clinic approach and may not start games until later in the season.

  • The Major League is kid-pitch from longer distance for ages 12-14.

Minor and Intermediate League Skills Clinic will be on Saturday, April 20, at 10:00 am.

Major League Skills Clinic will be on Sunday, April 21, at 11:00 am.

The primary purpose of the Skills Clinic is to ensure balanced team assignments. Attendance is strongly encouraged for all players.

Complete information, including fees, requirements and other details can also be found at www.ysbaseball.org. Parents are urged to complete registration as soon as possible, and all paid registrations received before April 27 will get a $10 discount. A limited number of scholarships are also available.

If you are interested in volunteering, please indicate in your registration or contact ysoyouthbb@gmail.com. Umpires, head coaches, assistant coaches, and scorekeepers are especially welcome. For any questions, call 937-340-1396.
