Retiring Team
Dear Eagle Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I notify you that last season 2023 was the final season for the South Jackson Eagles Youth Football & Cheer organization as you have come to know it. After 15 years and 14 seasons of operation, I felt it was in the best interest of all parties to retire the team as we know it. I can?t fully express my deep gratitude for your participation and support. Working with kids over the years has been nothing but an absolute pleasure.
Parents, thank you for your compassion and dedication to ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for our young men and women. Your commitment to their well-being has not gone unnoticed, though it?s not said enough, I deeply appreciate your contributions because without you literally none of this would have been possible. Your support and understanding have meant a great deal to our Eagle family. I am forever grateful for the compassion you have shown over the years.
Coaches, thank you so much for all the tireless hours you put in making this mission succeed for coaching, cheering, fundraising, assisting, running errands, picking up players and cheerleaders, requesting donations, mentoring, I can go on and on. With your help, we were able to become one of the pillars of the community, and the best structural team and dominate teams in the city bar none. I truly couldn?t have done it without you.
Players and cheerleaders, thank you for becoming and developing into the eventual future leaders our city so desperately needs. I only wish and encourage you to pursue your dreams on and off the field. Hopefully, some of the character building you received during your time will take you far and gives a solid foundation to develop whatever path you chose.
For the future, I plan to continue working with youth heavily focusing on high school or college more, yet 7on7, Flag, and JFL is still current. Possibly a future travel team.
These years have brought over 50 volunteers and over 1,000 participants so to my family once and Eagle always an eagle and I TRULY THANK YOU!!!!
