Coach Rusinko has been the Varsity Defensive Coordinator for Coach Ro since 2005. Coach Marc and the rest of the staff teaches their players to play for each other and with a genuine passion for the game. Over the past few seasons, St. Edward defenses have been among the best in the area. In 2010, the St. Edward defense ranked #1 in fewest total yards allowed and fewest points allowed. St. Edward defenses will continue to be known for playing great team D, having a motor that never stops and a relentless passion to tackle the guy with the football!

Prior to coaching at the high school level, Coach Marc worked with Coach Ro at the 8th grade level for the St. Edward Crusaders, winning the IYFL Super Bowl Championship in 2004.

Coach Mark credits his father for sharing his passion for the game with him. The "original" Coach Rusinko played Division 1 college football at Ohio University and was a high school football coach for over 30 years.

Coach Marc began playing football as a 7 year old in Brunswick, Ohio and played his high school football for perrenial state power Brunswick High School, helping lead his teammates to a first ever perfect 10-0 regular season record and the schools' first ever playoff appearance and victory in 1987. Coach Marc went on to play college football at Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated with his Bachelors Degree in 1992.

Coach Marc is also the VP of Merchandising for In The Swim Discount Pool Supplies, the nations' largest direct source for swimming pool supplies and resides in Bartlett, Il with his "ever-supportive" wife Michelle.
