Lamont Jenkins became part of the Hammond Junior Tors Youth Organization in 2008, taking on the role as Vice President. He is a retired Sergeant First Class in the Army with over 23 years of service. "Providing discipline and structure for our community youth is a main focal point of our organization. We want to empower them by providing a positive environment where they can strive to be their best."

Lamont spends his time working as a Computer Support Specialist at Southeastern Louisiana University, where he graduated with three degrees: AA in Office Administration, BA in General Business (cum laude), BA in Management. He also graduated with a MBA from LSU at Shreveport.
