COACHING ASSETS:
I have been playing golf for over 50 years (recreationally, in organized league play, and in local golf tournaments). I have a thorough understanding of the fundamentals, the rules of the game, and the rules of etiquette. I was assistant coach with Rick Kehr for the Dallastown Golf team for 8 years (2001-2008), thus I also have extensive experience working within the YAIAA Golf League. Having taught special education for 35 years in Dallastown School District, I feel I have patience to work with students while maintaining high expectations in the areas of conduct and behavior as they represent their school in athletic competition.

PHILOSOPHY OF COACHING:
I feel it is important to understand the fundamentals of the game and to be able to assist the student athlete in developing skills within the sport. More importantly, I feel the coach helps to develop character by setting standards in behavior and sportsmanship through example and role modeling, guidance, and expectations during practice and competition. Life lessons should be taught as opportunities present themselves.
