Jamie Mulvihill has worked with American Legion baseball in Mankato since 2001 and became head coach of the program in 2004 (Mankato Post 11 became Mankato National in 2009). The Mankato native, who owns a career head-coaching record of 143-81, has led teams to state tournament berths three times (2007, 2009 and 2010).

Under his guidance, Mankato National has gone 70-23 in the last three years and won two Sub-State Titles. The 2009 team went 4-2 at the state tournament in finishing fourth.

The 2001 Mankato Loyola grad (he was a two-year letterwinner for the Crusaders), played two years of college baseball at Bethany Lutheran where he was a two-year starter at first base.

The 2010 Minnesota State University, Mankato grad (degree in Geography, minor in Geology), was a member of the Mankato Mets team that posted a third-place finish at the 2011 Minnesota Senior Amateur State Tournament.
