Coach Amaro will manage the JV-B baseball team this season for the 8th year in a row. Coach Amaro is also a football coach and he leads the wrestling teams at McCallum. Coach Amaro also serves as Director of the Physical Education Department. This season will mark Coach Amaro's 17th year of service on the Knights coaching staff. He is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University and earned a Master of Education degree from Prairie View A&M. Coach Amaro has accumulated 35 years of coaching experience at Robstown ISD, La Joya ISD, Johnston HS and McCallum High School, as well as 20 years in the Marine Corps Reserve. He and his wife Rose have six children: Christina, Raymond Jr., Carlos, Anna-Alicia, Amanda and Ramona.
