I’m a Coach and Club Administer for the North DeKalb Blaze Track & Field Club (Blaze), and am Coach Holmes’s better half. As you read in his bio, we’ve been married for 22 years, and I’ve followed him, and our kids and grandkids neck deep into track and field for 15 of those years. I am a graduate of Georgia Tech with both a B.S. and an M.S. in Civil Engineering. By day I am a transportation engineering consultant, but by night I support Coach Holmes in keeping the Blaze machine running as smoothly as possible.

Unlike Coach Holmes, I have absolutely no athletic ability whatsoever. What I bring to the Blaze party is my engineering mind with a knack for administration, organization, and communication. Thus, I will be the one inundating you with information; threatening you with impending deadlines; pestering you when you miss those deadlines anyway; finding answers to your questions; and generally trying to make sure you and your athlete are where you’re supposed to be, doing what you’re supposed to do, when you’re supposed to do it. And from my heart I bring a desire to be a positive influence on young people. I’m thankful that Blaze gives me the opportunity, using this Club and track and field to live out our motto of “Athletics with CLASS ¦ Character, Leadership, Athletics, Scholarship, Service.”
