Tony Moore

JV Head Coach

Coach Tony Moore was born in Detroit, Michigan at the age of twelve he then moved to Southern California where he grew up and spent most of his adult life.

He began his basketball career in New Zealand where he played professional basketball for six years. His personal achievements include being the leading rebounder for two years. Coach Moore first acted on his interest in coaching in 1991, when he agreed to coach a women's basketball team in New Zealand. He later took advantage of other coaching opportunities after returning to the US in the late 90's.


While working at Ontario High School, Coach Moore was Head Coach of the Freshman Boys basketball team for 1 year then later became involved with the girls basketball program for 8 years doing two years as a Head JV Coach at Ontario High School, 6 years at Los Osos High School also as a Head JV Coach, and 1 year as La Verne Lutheran’s Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. During these times at the schools he coached for he brought several tournament trophies home showing hard work, dedication and motivation and being an outstanding leader for athletes to follow and learn from to build themselves into excellent people. Coach Moore always brings to the table a "can do" attitude where he encourages athletes to push their limits and become better than what they were yesterday.
