Dr. Michlitsch is in his seventh year covering Monte Vista athletics. After earning his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center before completing his subspecialty training with a sports medicine and shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship in Pasadena, CA.

His professional expertise is in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, with a surgical specialization in arthroscopic knee, shoulder, and elbow surgery. His goal of patient care centers around the effective return of patients to sports and pain-free activities after their orthopaedic care and rehabilitation.

Dr. Michlitsch also serves as an associate team physician at St. Mary's College. A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, he is board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and the subspecialty of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
