Stephen Oiler
Catching and Hitting Instructor
Stephen Oiler attended Leland High School where he was Defensive MVP and received All League Honors. He played for NorCal Baseball where his team placed 4th in the AAU World Series and 3rd in the Junior Olympics. After High School, Steve played at West Valley College and shortly after began his coaching career. After a few years of coaching his desire to further his education led him to Campbellsville University where he played two more years of collegiate baseball and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Stephen began his coaching career in 2003 at Hartdike World of Baseball, in San Jose, Ca. Since then, he has pursued coaching at several academies: Surf City Baseball, America’s Game and All Star Academy in San Jose, where he gave individual lessons, group clinics, directed camps and coached travel baseball teams. In 2007 he coached and led Leland High School to a 24-4 record and a league championship and in 2011 helped coach the Winchester Royals of the Collegiate Valley Baseball League to the semifinals. Stephen relocated to San Antonio and became a member of the staff at Hardball U, where he met many of the Lobos Baseball staff. After leaving HBU, he started the Golden Spikes Baseball Academy, which is now part of the Lobos Baseball family.
Stephen is married, to the lovely Elena; and, they has a son, named Knox, that hopefully is a future Lobos Baseball player.
