Joey Lauria

Head Coach

Joey Lauria enters his 2nd year as the Head Coach at Legacy High School. Joey came to Legacy High School in 2016 after finishing his collegiate career at UNLV. Lauria graduated from Legacy High School in 2010 while leading them to their first ever-Northwest League Title. While in high school Lauria earned All-conference and All-city section in Baseball. Upon graduation, Lauria Attended College of Southern Nevada where he played Baseball for a top #25 junior college program in the country. After getting his AA degree from Southern Nevada, Lauria transferred to UNLV and graduated with a Bachelors degree. He played two years, having earned Mountain West Conference honors and drafted in the 25th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies. Lauria turned down the draft, and was accepted into UNLV’S education program where he is finishing his Masters in Special Education. In addition to his duties as head baseball coach, Lauria teachers Special Education classes at Legacy High School. Coach Lauria is married to his beautiful wife Riley Lauria, where he met at Legacy High School in 2010.
