The team manager’s role is to handle the many administrative and paperwork tasks required by USA Rugby and the Florida Youth Rugby Union. The team manager will handle the following:
• Assist in recruiting new team members
• Make sure every player is registered with the FYRU
• Handle the bank account for the Sharks
• Collect the player dues
• See that the field is lined and set up for home matches
• Make sure the equipment is stored and field area is clean after matches
• Based the head coach’s decisions, coordinate the match schedule for the season based on the league schedule and non-Conference match opportunities, confirming times and venues with the other teams
• Make sure the teams have enough practice balls and reserved match balls for home games
• Confirm the referee assigned to matches, kick-off time and make sure the referee is paid for home matches
• Work with the webmaster to maintain the Jupiter Sharks Rugby webpage. Ensure schedules and match results are current, as well as contact information
• Ensure that there is a qualified medical person at all home matches who can provide proper care for an injured player
• Work with the parents to organize parent volunteers for parking control, food for the teams after matches, transportation to away matches, clean-up duties, and similar tasks
