If a pitcher throws more than 70 pitches to complete an at bat, the pitcher is credited with 70 pitches for the appearance.
If the pitcher reaches the limit for their age bracket while facing a batter they may continue until any one of the following:
1. The batter reaches base
2. The batter is out
3. The third out is made to complete the inning
