Boys Ages 13 and 14 by September 1st for the year playing
Teams in the Lisle Pony League compete in the Greater DuPage Pony Baseball Association (GDPBA) against teams from Darien, Woodridge, Lemont and Bolingbrook, as well as one another. Games are competitive and teams play to win. Lisle coaches are charged with aiding those players who may be in need of further skill development, but at this age most participants are expected to have a good understanding of the skills and in-game strategy required of the game with the need for minimal “micro-managing.”
It is important that Lisle teams (coaches, players AND parents) represent Lisle with class when visiting the neighboring towns, as well as when acting as host. Coaches, players, parents and fans will exemplify Good Sportsmanship at all times.
Coaches build their teams through a draft held in mid-March, closely mirroring the process of the lower divisions. All Lisle “Home” games are played on Community Park Fields 1 & 2. Road games are played on various fields located within the participating towns. The GDPBA website provides links to league rules, game schedules, sores, league standings and maps of field locations. Regular season play is followed by a single-elimination tournament that concludes before the end of June.
