The 2014 Provincial Bantam Boys team will be competing at the Nationals in Vaughan, Ontario from August 21-25. The dates and sites for the regional tryout camps are as follows:
Eastern Region - Saturday, June 14 Smallwood Drive Field, Mount Pearl. Times 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon and 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m
Central Region - To be determined
Western Region - Saturday, June 21 at Jubilee Field, Corner Brook. Times 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon and 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
The cost of the tryout is $35 per player and must be paid at the field prior to the tryout session. Please complete the "Provincial Teams Tryout Camp Registration Form" in the 'Documents' section of this website and bring it to the field with cash or cheque (payable to Baseball NL).
The head coach for the NL Bantam Boys team is David Janes from Grand Falls-Windsor with assistant coaches David McCarthy of Corner Brook and Barry Reid of Gander. If you have any questions about the tryouts, please contact the team's Chef de Mission David Coates (gsd.coates@nf.sympatico.ca). If the player can't make the regional tryout session, it is critical that you contact us prior to the tryout date in your area.
If you are a 1st or 2nd year Bantam player (born in 1999 or later), we would love to see you at the tryout.
