Code of Conduct Policy

The following Code of Conduct has been developed by the Eaton Baseball and Softball Association for the purpose of ensuring that all players, parents, guests, and coaches are given the opportunity to have a positive and enjoyable experience while participating in the Eaton Baseball and Softball Association (EBSA).

It is important for everyone to remember that coaches and Board Members are not paid for their time. These men and women put in long hours and are very dedicated to the responsibilities of this league. Please respect them and understand that they are looking out for the best interest of your child.

It is important for each person to understand and follow the Code of Conduct that we have put in place for the safety of your child. Violation of any part of the code will result in removal from the park and the party/parties involved will not be allowed to return to the park for the remainder of the game. A second violation will result in suspension from all EBSA activities for the remainder of the season.

1. The progress of the game will not be disturbed by a fan's action. The
umpire has the authority to eject fans from the ball park, if necessary,
with the assistance of the Eaton Police Department.
2. I will not use profanity or any type of verbal abuse toward any
participant, coach, umpire, or league official.
3. I will abide by the decision of the umpire and/or league officials.
4. I will be respectful of the coaches, umpires, and players during and
after the game. If I have any concerns regarding my child or a
disagreement, I will contact and EBSA Board Member.
5. I will inform EBSA and my child's coach of any physical disabilities or
ailment that might affect the safety of my child and others.
6. I will encourage my child to display good sportsmanship at all times
win or lose.

I agree that I have read and understand all codes set forth by the Eaton Baseball and Softball Association. I understand that a violation of any of the codes will result in removal, suspension, or termination of any participation in league activities.
