Concussion Policy

a. When two umpires are working a game and an umpire is forced to leave due to injury or illness the game should continue with the remaining umpire working behind the plate with full gear.

b. If an umpire should be injured in a game, regardless of severity, he/she shall fill out an injury report within 24 hours.

c. If an umpire believes he/she has suffered a concussion, they shall remove themselves from the field and seek immediate medical advice.

d. No umpire who has suffered or believes they have suffered a concussion may return to the field until they are cleared to do so by a medical professional. Such documentation shall be forwarded (by email, fax or mail) to LIBUO prior to returning to the field.
