New Umpire Application

The Fort Myers Baseball League is always looking for talented umpires. We prefer umpires with at least 2 years experience working High School, Junior College, or NCAA games (plate experience required). The FMBL plays games year-round, predominantly at 10am on Sundays. Games are 9 inning contests, with most subjected to a 3-hour time limit. To apply to become an umpire in the FMBL, please fill out the online form below.

Note: Members of the FMBL Umpire Association are paid $70 cash on the field before each contest. All teams have placed a security deposit in the event of default. In the event a manager does not have full payment, do not accept partial payment. Work the game as scheduled, and you will be paid immediately upon notification by the FMBL with the team's umpire security deposit. The FMBL has no liability insurance or medical insurance coverage for officials. You agree that you are an independent contractor.

Once you are assigned a game, you will be responsible for working the game. If you have a conflict which prevents you from working as scheduled, it is your responsibility to notify the Umpire Coordinator at least 5 days in advance. Should you not show up, you may forfeit a game fee from your next assignment. A second no show means you will not be called again.
