The eligibility criteria for the Barrie and District Girls Softball Association (BDGSA) REP Head Coaches is:

REP COACHING REQUIREMENTS

U10 Girls: NCCP Learn To Coach Trained
2018: Head Coach: NCCP Learn To Coach Trained; Assistant Coach(es): NCCP Learn To Coach Trained

U12 Girls: NCCP Community Softball Coach Trained
2018: Head Coach: NCCP Community Softball Coach Trained; Assistant Coach(es): NCCP Community Softball Coach Trained

All Others- U14 Girls, U16 Girls, U19 Women's, Intermediate Tier II Women's, Open Women's and Masters Women's: NCCP Competition-Introduction, Softball Certified
2018: Head Coach: NCCP Competition-Introduction, Softball Certified; Assistant Coaches: Competition-Introduction, Softball In Training
2019: Head Coach: NCCP Competition-Introduction, Softball Certified; Assistant Coaches: Competition-Introduction, Softball Trained

U19 Women's, Open Women's and Team Ontario (Canada Summer Games)
2020: Head Coach: NCCP Competition-Development, Softball Certified; Assistant Coaches: Competition-Development, Softball Trained

Definitions of terms used for PWSA:
In Training- This means a Coach has attended a portion of the requirements. For example- a Coach has attended Weekend #1 of Competition-Introduction, Softball- their status is "In Training".

Trained- This means a Coach has attended a portion of requirements. For example- a Coach has attended Weekend #1 and Weekend #2 of Competition-Introduction, Softball and completed the Make Ethical Decision On-Line Evaluation- their status is "Trained".

Certified- This means a Coach has attended and completed all of the requirements, including the On-Field Evaluation. For example, a Coach has attended Weekend #1, Weekend #2 of Competition-Introduction, Softball; has completed the Make Ethical Decision On-Line Evaluation and had a On Field Evaluation completed (Weekend #3)-their status is "Certified".

It is the Coaches responsibility to provide proof of Certification to the BDGSA. This applies especially to new Coaches or if there is any upgrade in their Coach education. Copy of Clinic Certificate or NCCP transcript (in the Locker) - U10 and U12; NCCP passport or NCCP transcript.

A copy of the certification must accompany the coaches application.
