| Play-offs, Play-offs....who said anything about play-offs - Jim Mora (New Orleans Saints)
This regular season stuff is getting old and we have too many league games! I think the Roosters will win the regular season crown, because they can hit the baseball. Not a lot of teams have a 45 year old that can drop bombs. The Kodiaks most likely will not be a factor in the play-offs, but at least were in the play-offs (Stillwater).

| Ignore hurto, we are not that good, the only player on the team worth a damn is Ryan Naughton, god is he good.
Ryan Naughton doesn't need a watch, Ryan Naughton decides what time it is.

| It's all about pitching and fielding! Good pitching and defense will beat good hitting 95% of the time. Whichever team has two or three solid pitchers and a defense to back them up will win the playoffs. I don't care if a team has a 60 year old hitter with home run power, when all he can get is an infield grounder his lack of wheels will result in outs! What team in the Skyline actually has solid pitching and defense?

| Exactly the reason why Stockmen's is in the middle of the pack instead of winning it. There fielding is suspect and their pitching has been average. There hitting matches up with any other team in the league (which isn't saying that much for the league).

| Hi to all, sorry i have not been on the forum for a while. With the road trip and All-Star game things have been busy. I thought i would chime in about the Skyline league so far. Looks like right now the league title is a three team race (Green Mill, Tri-City and Roosters). i have been fortunate to see all three teams play, all very solid teams. My favorite at this point would have to be Green Mill they seem to be the most balanced team, the just play a good brand of baseball. That could all change on sunday, very big doubleheader between the Mill and Roosters. A split and sunday would really complicate things on top of the standings. Good luck to both team.

| At least you all prove that this is a little league blog site. Such childish behavior reminds me of the little second grade bully tactics of playground days. Kudo's to you for showing your intellectual capabilities!
You sound like the little child that receives his first criticism after years of being told how great a job he's done in tee-ball, but now finds he can't hit a pitch thrown to him.
If you can't take criticism go to your buddies who will pat you on the back and tell you what a great job your doing all the while everyone else knows that "the king has no clothes."

Macdonald - no beulke will not be attending thursdays game, he still has class at MSU! But he will be back for the play-offs. I hope to see you on the mound thursday, it will give us a fighting chance. Also where do you find the time to check the forum, get back to trying to sell me life insurance.
Just for the record, Rosetown is in first place in the st. paul league and our skyline record is 5-7. We beat (kodiaks) Rosetown 6-0 earlier in the season. I am not saying, but I am saying.....About which league is better.

| WOW, let's base our opinion of the better league on one game between the two. I am also guessing that your game against Rosetown was when half their starting line-up was laid up with injuries. I am hoping I was just missing the sarcasm in your voice Kodiaks. Top to bottom, My money is on the St. Paul League, but that's just an opinion and everyone's got'em... Tim from Saints

| When the bottom for the Skyline is the MudDucks I'll at least give you the bottom. No team in the St. Paul league could be that bad! In fact few teams in an under 16 league could be that bad! In fact tee-ball teams might pose a good challenge to the MudDucks. But really... the argument betweeen which league is better is pointless as both leagues have no legitimate force only a half a dozen mid-level teams. It makes for good competition in each league, but extend it out to State Tournaments and you're probably looking at two and out!

| YAZ, I agree about parity within the leagues, but the St.Paul teams WILL beat some Mpls. teams in state. That is a given! I have not checked the standings over there, but for many years there was no competition for your better Mpls. teams to make it to state. Maybe they should organize a formal interleague schedule (for sh_ts and giggles) 1 vs. 1, 2 vs 2 etc. But it would just stir more to bitch about probably.

| webeatyouagain- thank you for allowing me to climb out of my 5 game not a prayer for a hit slump. it was courteous of you to think of others and huck cheese over the dish. congrats on your 2-1 (8th inning) win against the Kodiaks. and for the record i dont want to hear talk about us from anyone because they are wasting their time. We have 3 guys that are in our line-up that got cut from varsity in high school. not to mention we took the shark into extras with our left fielder pitching...who might throw 75. im not being negative towards anyone else, I would just like everyone to know that the K-bears are only in this for play-offs.....from now on! ~Left-Handed Side Armer;)

| Tim, I hope you are right, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I haven't done a study to see how rosters have changed within the Mpls leagues, but based upon last years results, unless there is some significant change in the Skyline or St. Paul leagues or Mpls has really dropped off, I still think it will be a quick exit for the east-side teams. I would love to see some team from Skyline actually elevate their game above mediocre and challenge the Mpls. teams at State, but so far it looks like most teams are comfortable with just showing up at the park because their video games are overheating at home.

I've forgot more about baseball than you all the knowledge you possess. If you think the Skyline is so good, then go out and prove it in the State Tournament! It's really not to difficult, unless....you are not as good as you think. Stop talking and start playing! Good teams and Good players don't need to whine about things on a blog, they just go out and play good baseball. I'm waiting to see a team or two from the Skyline raise their level of play above mediocre! I would love to see it, but I'm not gunna hold my breath for it to happen.
