Now that there are no coaches for Varsity and JV time to reflect on the past few years and why the Basketball Program has fallen. Too me it starts with the 2003-2004 team starting out a relatively young team and expecting them to win was too much for that team. From that team on the program has yet to get itself revived again. And has lost some repsect around southern indiana in being a power in 2A. It's odd cause the teams The Rams were beating by 30 in the early ninties and 2000s that's what they had become. I could write damn near a whole book on the struggles of the offense and defense but I won't do it. The teams weren't the most talented teams of Paoli's past but somethin was there that you could work on. In 3 years the Rams teams had lost their aggressive play. Their smoothness on offense and not to mentionb all the little things that builds a strong team. If you build a team and make it of your own way doin it your own way at paoli it better be successful or you're goin to be crapped on. And I think when The Rams played soft was when teams saw that took advantage of that and beat them at The Rams' old game. Nothing on the teams were solid they were all loose or lost. I'm saying if The Rams played hard nose tough as hell defense and played that way on crashing the boards they would be successful not great but good. Once you start changing things every week and don't believe enough in what you started with then if you as the leader of the team don't have confidence then what's the team memebers goin to think? Watching the Rams play the past few years was sad because you knew that they could do a heluva lot better then what they did but just wouldn't or couldn't for some reason. I just hop the new coach can solve the offensive and defensive problems.

Have you named a new coach yet? I've been hearing Joe Hinton as a one-year stop gap. Any truth to that?

Congrat's to li for landing Joe Hinton as your new Varsity Coach. Many other schools who passed on this Coaching Legend made a HUGE mistake in passing over his experience and endless knowledge of the game.

Now . . keep the Parents away from practice, toughen up the kids, and prepare to WIN! Congrat's Paoli, You now have a fan base in New Albany!

It's going to be interesting to see how the program responds to Hinton's coaching. I hope if it's a one year deal or whatever it will get the program back on track.
