| One of the big issues that is immediately fixable is the batters boxes. I want to purchase DuraTurf Mats for the boxes.
The mats are 4x6 and would go on each side of the plate. We will dig out the boxes to about 2-3 inches and put the mats down, then cover with 1-2 inches of dirt (the mats are 3/4 of an inch thick. A rubber like bottom with astro turf top). This will allow us to have level batting boxes and will also help when it rains.
The boxes are like this at a complex in Springfield and it works out real nice.
The mats are $89 each for $356 and $116 in shipping and handling for a total of $472. It's a cost that I think is worth it but I want to get other's feelings on it.
Before I end, there are many other things that I'm working on this winter also. The infields, fences, water, etc... I am just discussing the mats in this post. Please reply with your thoughts and make sure to leave your name. Any anonymous or fake name posts in this thread will be deleted.

| Dan, make sure you get mats with a little grip. The black rubber ones tend to be a little slick sometimes.
