| Any thoughts on doing anything different for next year??
I think go to St. CLoud again, probably not Perham, maybe pick up another tourney to take it's place.
Any other ideas? Anything is open to discussion.
Sounds like Etter will be back and a good chance old Chuke will rejoin the Birds.

| We should join that tourney that consists of Ponsford, Hubbard, Laporte, the Akeley Shysters, and Menahga the Red Sox and the Warriors. Hopefully we have enough pitching to make it through that tourney. How was Jamaica Christopher. Did you bring home any pictures from the nudie beach for me? Ones not picturing you please, or Kerri. Thanks

| Yeah I have to agree with the CLoud tourney of course. Nice setting and also a good weekend of bonding. I'd be cool with not doing the Perham tourney and not having to play on the #2 field. Lego Maniac and "Gourmet"? Sounds like a fun summer to me.

| Sorry Dusty, no nude beaches were enjoyed.
Sounds like Perham is out, that's OK since it is tough back to back anyway. I know Bemidji has a tournament and they have wanted us to play in it but the last 2 years it was the same date as St. Cloud. Sauk Rapids usually has a tourney as well in late June, that is a possibility.

| Sounds like the birds may need a few arms. I'll call up Dave Carlson and Tony Gustafson to get our arms loose and in condition for the big tourney slate. They can be the leftie specialists before old texas heat comes in to close the door. Chuke can probably work his way into the bullpen mix also......if he works at it.

| Chris, just wondering what are the possibilites of the Snurdbirds holding our own tournament? might not be possible, but then we could possibly play the competition we want.

| It is a possibility but it takes a lot of work. The whole team along with fans would have to chip in for field maintenance, concessions, etc. Umpires would be a main issue.
We could probably rig something up in Menahga with 6 or 8 teams or womthing like that. With those 2 fields right next to each other it would be decent I think.
Good Idea Yhetti

| work, this team is allergic to that... i like travelling to different tourneys anyways and less hassle than trying to deal with playing in menahga

| what about # of games for next year. Last year we played 31 prior to playoffs.
With Mike, Jake, Zach, Drew, Pete, Yhetti, Kyle, Dusty, Brad, Shroom?, and Roon/Ben/Eino only in Fargo or Cloud we would probably have enough to play on Wednesday nights.
This would free up some Saturdays for people as well, I think some guys were burnt out last year form the hectic weekends.

| Wednesday night games are fine with me, it would be nice to have a day off on weekends.

| Sounds like it could probably work. Doubleheaders with all lake & pine teams (sans wolf lake & maybe nimrod) on sundays would clear up some more room as well... instead of having to play some teams two different days

| Ideally for our team we would play doubleheaders on Sundays, have a Wednesday night game and a Friday night game. Thus leaving Saturdays open for various activities including river floating. That way local guys can make sure they are getting games in and guys that have to travel always play on the weekend. I'll see if I can make it happen.

| Miiiiiiight have to. I think Wednesdays would work, I could make a few i'm sure, if not I'm sure there would be enough guys anyway. I think Saturdays are alright, just so there isn't one on every Saturday. Friday night games are fun.

| Jobs to do on the field: - Re-do mound and home plate with clay. Either totally re-do them and pay for the whole thing for a guy to do it (probably around $1500). Otherwise we could find some clay and redo them or use the clay bricks.
-get rid of weeds and keep them out
-build bullpen mounds and benches on both sides (these can be agrilime, don't need clay)
