| have you ever driven a rwd....ie in the snow, you have way more controll. or do you wonder why in a fwd if the track is muddy and you got your front tires spinning you car wants to go stright???? You cant talk when you never driven anything but a fwd. The only thing you got going for ya is the fact that you have the weight over the drive wheels, thats it...get a grip, you dont know what your talkin about.

| man u dont have a clue.. everybody knows a fwd is way better than a rwd in the snow especially!!! cant believe u said that.. who agrees???? and on a muddy track with your front wheels spinning pulls u around a turn instead of fishtailing!!! and your other point about weight over wheels, that dont make sence eigher. when u accellerate a rwd the weight goes onyour drive wheels , and a fwd if comes off your drivewheels.. man u got it all wrong. FWD is the only way to go!!!!!!

| I am at this a long time and the only way to go is rear wheel drive. You have more controll on the wheel.Yes and you are wright about that guy never drove a rear wheel drive before.Go with a mustang if you can find one.In all my years of driving a stock car you won't go around a Mustang.I don't care who you are.Not even if Dennis Weir is driving it.HA!HA!

| Dont tell me I dont have a clue. You never answered my Question, you never drove a RWD before did you. You know your proving my point, when you accelerate in a RWD the weight goes to the rear...guess what that does, it give you more traction, you know what that means, you go faster. FWD in the snow is the total shits. Dont give me that crap about pulling you around the turn, when your wheels are spinn you have a loss of friction, that means no traction, thus you car wants to go stright. try this going down a snow covered road about 50 lock you car up, assuming you dont have ABS, and try and trun, you wont you will keep on going stright. thats the same principle if you your wheels are spinning over, your car wont turn, it will go stright, so yes RWD is better in the snow.
Oh and if you say 2WD trucks are no good in the snow, that because there is no weight in the rear. Try driving an old caprice, or crown vic in the snow, then come talk to me.

| He is talking about the rules at EVS not avondale. I think is is just trying to get everyones pee hot like last times when he asked to race his RX-7. He has posts removed from the other sites, where he was trying to get people fired up out in central. He is only on this site posting stuff becasue he can't get a rise anywhere else. Looks like Bruce is a bit of a S$%T disturber. He has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to racing in NF. I think he has only raced a couple of times ever anyway.

| rear vs front in streetstock
April 29, 2007 11:54:07 AM
Entry #: 2106517
| me personaly would go for the rear wheel drive because of the weight transfer off the corners where under acc. weight is transfered to the wheels that drive as in the fwd the weight is removed from the wheels that get traction.the reason the fwd are fast in streetstock is because of the hp to weight ratio.v6 cav. with 110 hp and 2200 lbs vs 305 caprice with 120 hp and 3500 lbs.but put 1000lbs in the cav. and see who comes out on top.a car with less hp and more traction will be alot fast than high hp with no traction.you got to get the power to the ground.SET UP.properly tune the caprice and and work on set up and the fwd would not have a chance!!!!!

| Yeah, you can change the rules around in your mind to fit a RWD all you want, but as it stands right now following the street stock rules a FWD Cavalier will smoke a Caprice.

| and I'm not bad mouthing RWD by any means, RWD is a lot of fun, but unless you have it set up right and you are running a done up motor a Caprice stands no chance.
